  1. Before\u00a0installing cPanel, make sure that you have set a fully qualified domain name [FQDN] for the server.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    The following are the steps to setup a FQDN in a\u00a0CentOS server.<\/p>\n

    Edit the below file:<\/p>\n

    #vi \/etc\/sysconfig\/network<\/p>\n

    Set the \u201cHOSTNAME\u201d parameter with your desired hostname , say server1.domain1.com<\/p>\n

    Next run hostname from your command line as shown:<\/p>\n

    #hostname server1.domain1.com<\/p>\n

    Next, restart the network protocol in the server.<\/p>\n

    # \/etc\/init.d\/network restart<\/p>\n

    A fully qualified domain name is of the form i.e., server1.domain.com<\/p>\n
